It was in napkin sketches turned national campaigns. It was in the midnight edits that went live the next day. This year, we celebrate the unsung, the art directors with a sixth sense, the interns who cracked the brief and the producers who some how pulled it off, yet again. What makes this industry shine has never just been what’s polished, it’s what’s real, what we craft and how we pushed through with grit and grace to create magic. It’s a nod to the sparkle behind the scenes. A toast to the diamonds in the rough. And a reminder that the best ideas? They never lose their shine.

As creative sponsor, Freestyle had the honor of developing the 60th Annual American Advertising Award’s complete design system. Diamond Soirée came together naturally as a full event identity that balanced elegance, celebration and cocktail napkin sketch energy. We built the event design system using custom typographic elements and a restrained metallic-neutral palette to signal legacy and smeared ink. This system was intentionally built to scale across print, digital, environmental and motion applications. Materials for the annual event included the primary event mark, supporting graphics, art direction for photography, social and promotional templates, digital countdown visuals, printed collateral, signage and a incredible intro video used to open the awards ceremony featuring familiar faces. To ensure consistency beyond our direct execution, we delivered a comprehensive style guide and asset library that equipped organizers to apply the identity across channels and materials leading up to and during the event.
